Rishi Patel

Rishi is a medical student at RWJMS. As an undergrad at the University of Pennsylvania, he studied Biophysics and Biochemistry while working in a neuroimmunology lab at the Wistar Institute. In the Sun Lab, Rishi is exploring the role of PV interneurons in ictal dynamics using optogenetic and chemogenetic tools.

Research Interests: Neuromodulation, Brain-Computer Interfaces, Temporal Lobe Epilepsy
